As a proud member of the Chicago School District, I am often asked what is the reason that so many of our nation's best schools are located here. The simple answer is an education. In Chicago, we have some of the nation's best schools. We have two of them, Grady and De Graaf. Although they rank near the top of our nation, their locations and cultures set them apart from the rest. As a former top private school parent, I can vouch for the extraordinary teaching that our teachers exhibit every day, and I applaud the leadership that they display.
